Copies the exact current virtual simulator position into only the selected local preview-context draft axes. It does not move, jog, command, zero, home, set an origin, or apply a preview. Use Preview changes to accept the draft.

XYZ values are millimetres; ABC values are degrees. Newly opened files start with the visible Work / XYZ / zero default.

GRBL 1.1 arc interpretation: GRBL 1.1 preview accepts G17 XY arcs with incremental I/J centers, G18 ZX arcs with incremental K/I centers, G19 YZ arcs with incremental J/K centers, and signed R radius arcs in all three planes. When no plane is authored, preview supplies GRBL's G17 XY reset baseline; an authored G18 or G19 overrides it. When G91.1 is not authored, preview supplies GRBL's incremental center baseline. Positive R selects minor geometry and negative R selects major geometry. Preview interpretation only; no controller state is assumed or changed.

GRBL 1.1 feed-mode evidence: Explicit G94 is retained only as authored units-per-minute feed-mode evidence. Its absence does not infer a feed mode, it does not assign a unit or effective rate to F, and it adds no timing, trial step, simulator state, controller state, or execution behavior. G93 inverse-time feed mode remains unsupported.

GRBL 1.1 cutter-compensation evidence: Explicit G40 is retained only as authored cutter-radius-compensation-off evidence. Its absence does not infer an active or effective cutter-compensation mode, and G40 establishes no controller state, tool radius, offset, geometry change, trial step, simulator state, or execution behavior. G41 and G42 cutter compensation remain unsupported.

G49: authored cancel evidence only; no offset, geometry, or trial effect. G54: declares this Work preview frame only; no offset, transform, or trial effect. G61: authored exact-path evidence only; no planning, geometry, timing, or trial effect. G80: clears inherited preview motion only; no geometry or trial step; later axes need fresh G0-G3.
