Take it for a spin

Explore the design

Open CH-01 – Finished in Design Studio. Select a label and choose Edit text & font in Properties. Use Apply to keep an edit or Cancel to leave it unchanged. The Text tool creates a new label.

See the machining

Switch to CAD/CAM. Choose Recalculate → Missing / outdated. When all eight operations are calculated, check All, switch to 3D and choose Play visible. Pause and move the playback slider to the end. Hide Job lines and Travel for a clear material preview.

Keep your version

Close playback before saving your edit. Choose Download for a .chicocam project copy, then check your browser’s Downloads. A started download is not confirmation that the file reached disk. Use Open → Open from this device to reopen it and recalculate previews. During paused playback, Close playback and Open continues while keeping your original project tab.

A machining sequence with purpose

Shallow decoration comes first. The engraving inside the trees starts from their carved floor. The outside cut comes last and retains holding tabs.

Make it yours

The starter has all 32 shapes and no operations. Recolor the lettering, edit the greeting, or choose the named shapes in Objects to create your own setups. A selected text object’s Properties edits that label; the Text toolbar button starts another.

The sample’s serif lettering uses 6% letter spacing. Closely touching letters can fail machining checks even when they look fine on screen. Use More text options → Spacing to adjust them.

Cutters and review

The finished operations include their cutter settings. A fresh browser library is seeded automatically; existing libraries are preserved. If needed, import the 60-cutter demo library from Cutters → Import library. Notes are empty.

This sample is for exploring the software. The machining sequence and exported files were checked offline; they have not been cut on a machine. Review your stock, cutter, feeds, Z reference and workholding before any physical machining. Laser and hardware connectivity are unavailable in this browser demo.
